The Association for Smoking Alternatives in Pakistan (ASAP) is committed to tobacco harm reduction, advocating for progressive policies, and educating the public on better alternatives to combustible cigarettes.

ASAP works to encourage informed conversations on scientifically substantiated smoke-free alternatives and their role in reducing the harms associated with combustible tobacco use among adult smokers.

Through engagement with policymakers, public health stakeholders, researchers, and the wider community, ASAP advocates for evidence-based approaches that support public health objectives and responsible regulation in Pakistan

What ASAP Advocates

The Association for Smoking Alternatives in Pakistan (ASAP) advocates for progressive, science-based, and responsible approaches to tobacco harm reduction.

ASAP supports:

• evidence-based public policy,
• informed consumer awareness,
• access to scientifically substantiated smoke-free alternatives for adult smokers,
• and regulatory frameworks that prioritize harm reduction while protecting youth.

The organization believes that public health policies should reflect evolving scientific evidence and global best practices

ASAP advocates for:

• clear differentiation between combustible cigarettes and smoke-free alternatives,
• accurate public education based on scientific evidence,
• responsible regulation,
• youth protection measures,
• and open dialogue among policymakers, public health experts, researchers, and
stakeholders

Through awareness, engagement, and policy advocacy, ASAP aims to contribute to a future where fewer people suffer from the harms associated with combustible tobacco use in Pakistan

Important Note

ASAP does not encourage non-smokers or youth to use nicotine or tobacco products in any form. The organization’s focus is centered on harm reduction strategies for existing adult smokers who would otherwise continue smoking combustible cigarettes.
